Overview

Concrete Guard Pro is a commercial concrete sealer and protective coating that forms a non-permeable barrier against oil, fuel, hydraulic fluids, chemical spills and de-icing salts. It carries a 5-Year Limited Warranty covering product defects and lab-tested 1,200+ PSI adhesion (ASTM D4541).

Oil, fuel, and hydraulic fluid spills soak into unprotected concrete, leaving permanent stains and gradually breaking down the surface - and the repair bill grows the longer the slab stays unsealed.

Concrete Guard Pro stops this damage cycle with a nano-polymeric coating that forms a non-permeable barrier resistant to peeling and flaking. It dries to a clear gloss finish and can also be applied as a top coat.

Lab-Tested Performance Data

  • Adhesion Strength: +1,200 PSI (polished concrete substrate)
  • Solvent Resistance: 1,000 MEK double rubs, no effect (ASTM D4752)
  • UV Stability: <0.5 dE color shift after 1,000 hours (ASTM G154)
  • Shore D Hardness: 72 (ASTM D2240)
  • Abrasion Resistance: 23 mg loss, CS-17 wheel, 1,000 cycles (ASTM D4060)

Environmental and Compliance Standards

  • Temperature Range: -200°F to +350°F (cryogenic to high-heat processing)
  • Chemical Resistance: oil, fuel, jet fuel, hydraulic fluids, caustic wash solutions, bird and animal waste
  • Protection Class: water intrusion, chloride penetration, deicing salt damage, salt spray (coastal applications)

Frequently asked questions

Unlike thick, film-forming epoxies that can look “plastic,” Concrete Guard Pro penetrates the substrate to form a covalent bond while maintaining the natural texture of the concrete. It is a single-component system that is UV stable - preventing the yellowing common with epoxies.

Yes, it is a high-gloss clear coating.

Yes, the product is UV stable and performs well both indoors and outdoors. Accelerated UV testing (ASTM G154, 1000 hours) shows minimal change (dE < 0.5).

If applied properly at the recommended thickness, it generally maintains the natural texture of the surface, avoiding the slipperiness associated with thick epoxies.

Durability depends on usage and exposure (coastal/inland, chemicals, salt, abrasion). It comes with a 5-year warranty under recommended applications, but will perform longer under many conditions.

Yes. It helps revive color and provides an easy-to-clean gloss finish. Ensure old sealers are removed first for proper adhesion.

Absolutely. It is resistant to mild acids and to petrochemicals - gasoline, diesel, motor oil, hydraulic fluid. Spills are best cleaned up promptly.

Yes, it is non-permeable to water, saltwater, and other fluids.

Yes. Permanent marker can be wiped off with soap and water; spray paint may require a commercial removal solution.

Apply to a clean, dry surface. Use a commercial-grade HVLP (1.0-1.3 tip) airless sprayer (.111, .211, .311 tip). It can also be applied with a high-density ultra-smooth roller. Surface must be profiled to 600-grit (grinding or sandblasting), pH 7-9, moisture ≤13%. Remove old sealers, silicones and curing agents - if water beads on the surface, a sealer is still present. Apply one coat; a second coat only if the first is flawed.
